Aims & Structure

Aim of our Society is the recreation of an Ancient Greek Hoplite Phalanx equipped with historically correct and precise replicas of complete armour of the classic and other periods, in tribute of the Ancient Greek Hoplites, in various events and celebrations, and also the study, research, revive and spreading of the Ancient Spartan Ideals and Ancient Greek Ways.

 

 

Structure and Form

The structure of our society is based on the Ancient Spartan Form of City, with four Basic Instruments:

 

1. The Class of “Όμοιοι” (Equals), who’s Assembly forms the “Απέλλα” (General Plenary Session) which is the Basic Instrument of decisions and administration of our Society, with open vote by the Ancient Greek prototype.

 

2. The Counsel of the Five “Έφοροι” (Ephor), which forms the Administrative Counsel, and they supervise the precise curry out of the decisions of the “Απέλλα”.

 

3. The Class of “Περίοικοι” formed by the non subscribed members and friends of our Society.

 

4. Cadet Members.
